Track & Field team continues to build momentum this season,
The Oakland Catholic Track & Field team continues to build momentum this season, currently holding a 2-2 record with strong wins over Penn Hills and Gateway, and competitive losses to Franklin Regional and Woodland Hills. Across all events, the Eagles have shown high energy, resilience, and steady growth as a team.Leading the way for the sprinters are juniors Honoria Saxton and Jordan Mitchell, who continue to rack up points in multiple events. Saxton has been a standout in the triple jump, long jump, and 400m, while Mitchell has delivered strong performances in the 100m, 200m, and 400m. Brianna Watkins and Raegan Mascaro have also been consistent contributors, adding depth and strength to the sprint group. The Oakland Catholic Eagles Lacrosse Team hosted Trinity Area at Rooney Field for their AIM at Melanoma Charity Game. The Eagles took home a 14-4 win over the Hillers. Claire Elder led with 7 goals, and Tilly Conner led with 5. Maggie Friday led with 3 assists. In the midfield, Maggie Friday led with 12 draw controls followed by Katie Richardson with 3. Defensively, Claire Elder led with 5 caused turnovers, and Josie Donahue with 3 caused turnovers. Sasha Wozetek had 12 saves in net. Big Bird of the Game went to Josie Donahue for her lock-down defense and caused turnovers. Eagles are 6-1 and 4-0 in their section.

The OC Lacrosse team took home a thrilling win with a score of 16-15 against a section match-up, Seton La-Salle, at Rooney Field last night. Tilly Conner had 7 goals, and Leasia Karto followed with 3 goals. Maggie Friday had 3 assists. On the defensive end, we had strong defense efforts from Josie Donahue, Hailey Chase, and Jules Georgescu. Maggie Friday led with 8 ground balls and Claire Elder had 6 ground balls.
