Oakland Catholic Lacrosse secured a hard-fought victory over Franklin Regional in the first round of the WPIAL 2A Playoffs! The team will continue its postseason run on Wednesday, May 14, with a 7:00PM matchup at Mars.
Congratulations to OC Flag Football who is headed to the playoffs this weekend! More details on time and location to follow this week.

More About Flag Football playoffsWe played in our second round of the Class 2A Girls’ WPIAL playoffs against Mars this evening. We lost, but ended with a wealth of knowledge from an incredible season. This is our second year in a row making it to WPIAL’s and we couldn’t be prouder. In 2024 we made it to the first round of WPIAL’s, and this year we made it to the second round. We lost to Mars, the winners of the Class 2A Girls’ 2024 Champions, and as a team we reflected on our great accomplishments. MVP was awarded to Caroline Miller. From the moment the first whistle was blown until the very last second of the game, she never stopped hustling for the ball throughout the entire field. She found herself winning draw control, intercepting passes, and taking multiple shots on goal. For this we couldn’t have selected a better MVP for game. Congratulations! More About Congratulations to junior, Allie FosterWe played and outstanding game against Franklin Regional this evening. We won 13-10! Our team record finished with 9-3! Way to go, Eagles! MVP was awarded to two players who stood out Tilly Conner and Maggie Friday. Tilly was an unstoppable force in the attack. She scored 8 goals and had 1 assist. Maggie emulated midfield. Franklin Regional was a nice team to play. Maggie never backed down and always found her way to control the ball and pace of the game. She confidently held draw control, while keeping a tight and strong defense, as well as a strong attack. Very proud of our team and we are looking forward to entering the playoffs next week.
